› Eric Leif Northman: About Leif, his SLs and his RP partners - an OOC post
Not everyone knows, but Leif is not a new character. I’ve had three or four, I think this is the fourth, accounts for him and I’ve deleted them for both different and equal reasons. How so? Well, the different ones don’t matter now, they were specific and there is not much left to talk about them….
It takes five posts, maybe less to get a feel for Leif’s character. Unless, of course, there are a lot of OOC tweets going on, which is rare. If people get so upset at Leif’s attitude, they probably shouldn’t talk to Leif. It’s as simple as that.
You should never delete because of those people. You were never in the wrong for being Leif. Ever. Leif has never, to my knowledge, offended a partner and that’s all that matters. I applaud you for being different and breaking out of the mold. That is something I cannot claim for myself. I play the Eric that everyone knows and am at times, extremely predictable.
It takes someone who is confident in their roleplaying abilities to change a character and make it completely your own. You are able to do that. Which, in my opinion is quite admirable.
My greatest wish is for people to see *that*. Not the fact that Leif is rude and violent sexually and non-sexually. The important part is that you are doing something that hasn’t been done before. Something that is completely original. You should be admired for that, not criticized.
I hope my followers read this. All of them. And I hope they understand what I’m trying to say and see it for themselves because you deserve that admiration. You are very skilled and an amazing writer. I wish you nothing but success and happiness in your RP.
